What we treat at the Andheri East clinic
Most people who walk in have one of four problems: back or neck pain that has not settled, a joint that hurts with movement, a nerve symptom such as sciatica, or a recovery that stalled after injury or surgery. Each one needs a different assessment, so the first visit starts with examination rather than a fixed package of sessions.
- Low back pain, sciatica and slipped disc symptoms
- Neck pain, cervicogenic headaches and migraines
- Sports injuries, including ACL, meniscus, ankle sprain and hamstring strains
- Scoliosis assessment and Schroth method exercise therapy
- Post-surgery and post-fracture rehabilitation
- Shoulder, elbow, knee, hip and ankle pain
- TMJ and jaw pain
- Pelvic floor problems, including leakage and postpartum recovery
When to book an assessment
Book when pain has lasted more than two weeks, keeps returning, or changes how you walk, sit, sleep or train. Book sooner if you have numbness, weakness, or pain that followed an accident or a fall.
- Pain that eases with rest but returns as soon as you resume normal activity
- A joint that feels unstable, catches, or gives way
- Numbness, tingling or weakness in an arm or leg
- A sports injury that stops you training or competing
- A recovery that has plateaued after surgery or a fracture
What happens in your first session
The first appointment is an assessment, not a massage. It takes a history, tests the movement and strength of the affected area, and ends with a working diagnosis and a plan.
- 1History: what started it, what makes it better or worse, and what you have already tried.
- 2Examination: movement, strength, nerve tests and specific orthopaedic tests as needed.
- 3Explanation: what is likely driving the pain, in plain language.
- 4Treatment: hands-on work and the first exercises, started in the same visit.
- 5Plan: expected number of sessions, what to do at home, and what progress should look like.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the problem. Many acute injuries need four to six sessions over three to four weeks. Long-standing pain and post-surgical rehabilitation usually need a longer program with reassessment every few sessions. We review progress at session three and change the plan if it is not working.
Physiotherapy works best when it is active. Hands-on treatment can ease pain and restore movement, but strength and tolerance come from the exercises you do between visits.
Fees, referrals and insurance
You do not need a doctor referral to book a physiotherapy assessment. Fees depend on the type and length of the session, so call the clinic for the current schedule. We do not bill insurers directly; ask for a receipt and treatment summary if you plan to claim reimbursement.
